Editorial note:
We offer these essays as worthwhile, thought-provoking, and potentially helpful thought-pieces for a higher quality of life; however, we do not necessarily offer them as our official position on whatever topic is at hand. Obviously, as we offer these, we are making editorial decisions about what we are throwing out there. And we are certainly interested in the general questions that revolve around what human (as well as non-human) flourishing might look like, but we are not trying to impose a particular vision upon anyone. While particular perspectives and visions for the "good" will come through in many of the essays we feature, they are first and foremost the ideas of the individual authors and not necessarily the views of the Artisan. Having said that, we hope that these essays are the kinds of things that could lead to cultural and community conversations that have the betterment of the community in mind, be it through the arts or through cultural critique.
