When we think of what it is we are hoping to accomplish as a business in downtown Columbia, two things come to mind, primarily. First, in everything we do we hope to make a genuine contribution to the livelihood of the community. One of the chief goals that any public entity ought to have is the flourishing of the community. We are truly interested in seeing Columbia be a place where people look out for the betterment of the neighborhood. Odd as it may sound, we think a café can be a unique place to foster a little bit of goodness. We hope that the way we do things, from our coffee-making to the food we serve to the things that happen on our stage, can offer something genuinely good for the community.

The second thing we hope to offer is simply good food and drink that has a local flare to it. We think Columbia ought to be a place where you can still find unique local flavor. As we continue to feel the invasion of corporate chains all around us, we want to offer something that can’t be found at every other exit ramp along the interstate.
